Qui est Madame Marden?
My name is Suzanne Marden. I have been a teacher at Carmel High School for the past 10 years. Prior to CHS, I taught at Carmel Middle School for 12 years. I have a bachelors degree in French literature and French civilization from UC Berkeley. I have a masters degree in Natural Science from San Jose State University. I have had the opportunity to teach many subjects in my several years of teaching including all levels of French, sixth, eighth, and ninth grade science, geometry, algebra, AVID, and support. My favorites are French and sixth grade science because then I get to share my passion of my favorite subjects. I love French and Francophone culture and language. I appreciate the art, architecture, history and of course, the bread!
I hope to share my love of the French language and Francophone culture with you and hope to start you on an incredible journey through "other" language acquisition.
I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have three sons, all are graduates of CHS. I love our little town of Carmel. Point Lobos and Mission Trails Park are a couple of my favorite places on Earth. In my spare time, I am rediscovering things I like to do. Also, I adore reading, traveling, and eating!
Enjoy the year,
Suzanne Marden
