Dance I

Merce Cunningham (1919-2009) - He was a dancer and choreographer and was part of the Graham Company from 1939-1945. He later created his own company and style of modern dance.  He often created dances without the knowledge of the music and set designs that would accompany the dance. He was known for his methods of chance in composition.
