1. Agnes de Mille

Agnes de Mille (1909-1993) - She was apart of American Ballet Theater and is credited with changing ballet in musical theater. She is known for choreographing Oklahoma.

 

2. Michael Kidd

Michel Kidd (1919- ) He was a member of American Ballet and the Ballet Caravan. He choreographed for Guys and Dolls, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and Can-Can.

 

3. Jerome Robbins

Jerome Robbins (1918-1998) - Jerome Robbins was the choreographer of Westside Story in 1965. He won a Tony award and an Academy Award for his choreography in West Side Story.  He was a major contributor to the development of the Broadway Musical.

 

4. Bob Fosse

Bob Fosse (1927-1982) He began in vaudeville and the later appeared on Broadway.  He choreographed many Broadway hits such as Sweet Charity, Pajama Game, Damn Yankees, Cabaret, and Chicago.  He is remembered for creating a very unique style of syncopated jazz.

5. Andy Blankenbuehler

Andy Blankenbuehler (1970) – He choreographed the musicals “In the Heights” and "9 to 5." He won a Tony Award for his choreography for In the Heights in 2009.
